Castro confirmed in World Cup squad

Prop Martin Castrogiovanni has had his place in Italy's squad for the Rugby World Cup confirmed despite ending last season on the injury list.

The Guinness Premiership Player of the Season was injured during the EDF Energy Cup Final victory over Ospreys and did not play in the final weeks of the season.

But the 25-year-old, who has 43 caps, has made good progress from the injury and was named in coach Pierre Berbizier's 30-man squad for next month's World Cup in France where Italy face New Zealand, Scotland, Portugal and Romania.

Former Tigers fly-half Ramiro Pez, now with Bayonne in France, is also included in the squad.
