Chance to learn more at BMC online open day

Brooksby Melton College is hosting a virtual open event to allow prospective students to learn more about its educational opportunities and unique partnership with Leicester Tigers.

The virtual open day is being hosted online via Microsoft Teams on Saturday, June 20 (10.00am-1.00pm), featuring presentations on college courses, admissions and facilities as well as details of the rugby programme run by the Tigers.

The Tigers link with BMC in Melton Mowbray, provides up to eight hours of coaching and rugby with by the club’s community team and opportunities at development level and in the Academy Colleges & Education (ACE) League.

Brooksby’s league team enjoyed their best-ever finish in the hotly-contested tournament this season, beating nine-time champions Hartpury College to secure third place in the development tournament while also winning the Under-18 Schools County Cup title in 2019.

College alumni include George Martin, Keston Lines, Taylor Gough, Henry Lavin and Leo Gilliland who have all been part of the Tigers development squad this season.

Registration on Saturday, June 20 is at 10.00am, there will be an online room for introduction and then a rugby-specific room. This will be followed by a presentation and opportunity to talk to coach Steven Baker before returning to the college waiting room for more talks around transport, accommodation, admission, facilities and engagement zone.
