Welford Road this week provided the halfway point for the Try Cycle Challenge in support of BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Serviceman's Association) and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Alasdair Wood and Richard Ford are cycling more than 1,000 miles, stopping off at every Aviva Premiership Rugby ground and Super League club in England on the way.

Starting in Newcastle, they have visited the clubs in the North-West and Yorkshire before arriving in Leicester on Wednesday on their way to the final goal of reaching Twickenham in time for the Army versus Navy fixture.
“We’ve made good progress so far,” said Alasdair, a Bath Rugby season ticket holder and a regular visitor to Welford Road as an away supporter. “I’ve been to a few places I hadn’t visited before, we’re supporting two very worthy causes and it’s great to reach the halfway point at Leicester.”
