Clock is ticking on Tigers NSPCC auction

Time is starting to run out to make a bid in the auction for a giant rugby ball signed by the Leicester Tigers squad and play your part in supporting ChildLine, a service of the NSPCC.

The Tigers fixture against Sale Sharks this Saturday (5pm kick-off) forms part of a Guinness Premiership fundraising weekend for ChildLine – and we have a ball signed by the first-team squad up for auction.

You have until lunchtime on Friday to place your bids, with the current top bid standing at £155. Click here to make your bid.

Donations made during the April 4/5 weekend will also benefit the NSPCC Child’s Voice Appeal, a three-year £50m fundraising campaign to help answer more calls to ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline for adults worried about a child.

Tigers and England Saxons forward Richard Blaze helped to launch the initiative and said: “Enjoying a rugby match together as a family can be a great way for parents and children to relax together and get talking to each other. That’s why I’m backing the Guinness Premiership’s Family Forwards campaign to get more families enjoying a day out at their local rugby club, and help to raise vital funds for ChildLine.

“Please help support ChildLine through Family Forwards by getting your ticket for Leicester’s special match day on April 4 or the Guinness Premiership Final on Saturday, May 16.”

A limited number of tickets remain on sale for Saturday’s match. Phone the Tigers ticket hotline hotline on 08701 283430, email [email protected] or visit www.leicestertigers.com. Or call in at Welford Road.

You can also support ChildLine by buying tickets to the Guinness Premiership Final on Saturday, May 16. Premier Rugby will donate £4 from every promotional adult ticket and £2 from every promotional child ticket to ChildLine. Call 0844 847 2492 or visit www.ticketmaster.co.uk/childline and quote ‘ACHILD’ when booking adult tickets or ‘JCHILD’ for junior tickets (junior = 15 year olds and under, offer subject to availability).
