News of another national lockdown and England Rugby’s announcement that all community rugby will return to Phase A of its return-to-play mode was not the news Leicester Tigers community department wanted to hear.
The club has been working behind the scenes to determine how its community programmes can operate within the restrictions of Covid-19.
From a virtual Well-Being Week on the club website, to Zoom workshops, the team at Tigers have had to think outside of the box when delivering some of the club’s most popular initiatives.
Unfortunately for many, including the NBS Tag Rugby Programme, The Swifts community club, Prima Tiger Cup and Tigers Rugby Camps have had to be postponed.
Restrictions within schools have also meant that the Tigers community team have not been able to deliver the usual opportunities for youngsters to get involved with rugby.
However, as always, the community team is here for you.
You may be looking for activities to keep you, your family or youngsters busy.
Perhaps you look after a group and are interested in using the club’s resources, or creating a virtual or socially distant session or workshop.
Or want the opportunity to hear from Tigers community coaches and share their skills and knowledge of the game.
