Jordan Crane has won his second successive Gatorade Performance of the Month Award.

The Leicester Tigers and England back rower picked up December’s award for his performance against Sale Sharks in the 32-6 bonus point win at Christmas.

Crane also picked up the performance of the month prize for his display against Gloucester in November.

He said: “I am delighted to have won the Award for a second time. It was a good team performance and we were happy to get the win.

“We are pleased with the way things are going. We are playing well and have put ourselves in a good position in the Guinness Premiership.”

His efforts against Sale were highlighted by Opta statistics as being the stand-out individual performance of the Guinness Premiership in December.

During the match Crane’s carries totalled 64 metres and he made 12 tackles. He also helped create tries for Johne Murphy and Ben Kay and he also got on the scoresheet late in the game to secure the bonus point.

Gatorade's Performance of the Month Award will be running for the 2009/10 Guinness Premiership season, with the leading individual performance at the end of season collecting the Gatorade Performance of the Year Award at the Guinness Premiership Awards.
