England international Mathew Tait, Saxons Kieran Brookes, Graham Kitchener and Micky Young, back rowers Julian Salvi and Richard de Carpentier and back Niall Morris have all agreed terms with the nine-times English champions.
And Crane says he is looking forward to seeing the new faces go during Tigers’ pre-season.
“We have made some really good signings,” says Crane. “There are some young guys coming through who look exciting so I am looking forward to seeing them in pre-season games.
“And I have played with some of them with the Saxons so I am excited about those guys, as well.”
Crane is also looking forward to Tigers’ Heineken Cup after the fixtures and dates for next season’s competition were released by tournament organisers ERC.
Tigers kick off their European season with a trip to Italy to take on Aironi on Saturday, November 12, host Ulster Rugby at Welford Road on Saturday, November 19 before back-to-back fixtures with Clermont in December.
“We played Clermont back-to-back a couple of years ago and didn’t get out of the group so there’s a challenge for us," he says. “We played Perpignan back-to-back last year so we have experience of it.
“The Heineken Cup is difficult and it will be a challenge. We will tackle it head on.”
