Jordan Crane has claimed his third Gatorade Performance of the Month Award of the season.
Crane’s display in Tigers’ 31-7 win over Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park landed him the March award.
His performance was highlighted by Opta statistics from the game, which showed he made 28 carries totalling 82 metres during the game, 14 tackles and beat five Newcastle defenders.
The Tigers and England back-rower said “Going to the North East is never an easy fixture, and it came at a really important part of the season for us.
“On a personal level, putting in good individual performances towards the end of the season is very pleasing, and I’m really happy to be positively contributing to the team. We’ll all be looking for similar form through to the end of the season.”
Crane won the Gatorade Performance of the Month Awards for November and December for his displays away to Gloucester Rugby and at home to Sale Sharks respectively.
He now faces competition from Dan Ward-Smith, Chris Robshaw and Hendre Fourie for the Gatorade Performance of the Year Award at the Premier Rugby end of season awards dinner, which takes place next week.
