Tom Croft scored a try on his British & Irish Lions debut as the tourists beat the Golden Lions 74-10 in Johannesburg on Wednesday evening.

Named in the No6 shirt, Croft was among the first-half scorers as the British & Irish side ran in 10 tries in the second match of their tour to South Africa.

Jamie Roberts (2), Tommy Bowe (2), Ugo Monye (2), Brian O’Driscoll, James Hook and Stephen Ferris shared the other tries.

Croft was replaced just after the hour mark, while Leicester Tigers clubmate Harry Ellis also gained his first outing in a Lions jersey as a 60th-minute replacement.

The tourists now move on to face Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Every match of the tour will be shown live on the big screen in the ABC Bar at Welford Road.
