Croft and White named in England 22 for opener

England team manager Martin Johnson has named his team for the opening game of the RBS 6 Nations against Italy.

Leicester Tigers forwards Tom Croft and Julian White have been selected on the bench for the game at Twickenham on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

London Irish flanker Steffon Armitage is handed his debut on the openside with his brother Delon at full-back.

Former Tigers player Andy Goode is named at fly-half, while the team will be captained from the second-row by Steve Borthwick.
