Guest speaker Major General Jonathan Shaw CB entertained Luncheon Club members at Welford Road this week.
Hosted in the Try Line Club in partnership with club partner Mattioli Woods, Shaw gave a talk on cyber security and the threats facing businesses.
Tigers chief executive Simon Cohen led the event welcoming guests before introducing Jonathan, who served in the military between 1980 and 2012 before joining the Ministry of Defence as a leading cyber security expert.
Shaw discussed aspects of cyber security from how to protect and prepare as a business to more general questions around how cyber security and technology are changing the way we work.
Businesses from across the East Midlands enjoyed a two-course lunch as well as the opportunity to meet new contacts and network under the roof of England’s most successful rugby team.
The next Luncheon Club event is scheduled for November 2018 with membership starting from just £150 plus VAT per person and includes one place at each of our events throughout the year.
