The game against Harlequins was one to remember for the Thompson family who enjoyed hospitality and met the Leicester Tigers squad after being named season ticket holders of the match.Season ticket holders have never been more important to Tigers and to recognise their contribution, the club has launched the season ticket holder of the match benefit.   It will see at each home game this campaign, a season ticket holder selected at random for them and three family members and/or friends to have the chance to experience hospitality Leicester Tigers style.   Charles Thompson, from Willington in Derbyshire, a season ticket holder in the Goldsmiths Stand, was the inaugural season ticket holders of the match at Sunday’s 22-19 Aviva Premiership win against Quins.   He and his 10-year-old twin boys James and Matthew and his father-in-law Colin Doody enjoyed hospitality in the Honours Suite, watched the game from padded seats in the MET-Rx Stand, were presented to a big matchday crowd during half-time and met the squad post-match. They also had the chance to meet Ben Youngs, Jack Roberts and Christian Loamanu during their matchday commitments.   “It was unbelievable,” Charles said. “We don’t win anything so it was a really nice surprise.   “We really enjoyed the experience. It was a full day and the surprises kept coming, one after the other, the meal, the match, going on the pitch at half-time and meeting the players.   “We got the boys a shirt and they managed to get the players’ signatures on them, and we’re going to put the shirts in a frame as a memento.”   Tigers season tickets guarantees your place at all home games in the regular Aviva Premiership season and pool stages of the Champions Cup, including the in-demand fixtures against Stade Francais, Munster and Northampton Saints.   Contact the Tigers ticket office for full details.
