Develop your game on a Tigers Rugby Camp

Leicester Tigers Rugby Camps are back with a bang and headed across the region with a full programme this summer, starting with the half-term holiday at the end of May.

Our camps provide young players with the opportunity to experience top-quality coaching in a professional environment with coaching provided by the Tigers community team alongside senior academy coaches and players past and present, including former club captain and coach Ian ‘Dosser’ Smith and ex-Tigers hooker Troy Thacker.

Participants receive a hot lunch every day, Tigers Rugby Camp T-shirt, ball and drinks bottle, free membership to the Junior Tigers Club and a junior match ticket to an allocated home game.

With some of our own Tigers stars like Ben Youngs coming through the ranks of our Rugby Camps in their junior days, this is the best way for players to develop their skills while still having fun during school holidays.

The next set of Tigers Rugby Camps kicks off in the half-term holiday, including one-day masterclasses at Welford Road, followed by a full programme across the region and beyond.

The Easter programmes included Rugby Camps and Tag Rugby Camps for younger players at Peterborough, Stowmarket and Shrewsbury rugby clubs and Loughborough Grammar School with Tigers prop Fraser Balmain popping in to see the Peterborough camp and meet our participants.

Tigers Rugby Camps continue throughout the year, including the popular residential camp at Bishop Burton College in Yorkshire (August 14-19).

Venues include Newark, Coalville, Stamford School, Shipston on Stour, Lutterworth, Diss, Lichfield and Lincoln, followed by Trent College, Ratcliffe College, Market Harborough, North Walsham, Market Rasen & Louth, Leamington and Swaffham, as well as the Ashburton Investments Rugby Camps in the Channel Islands.

With a focus on skill, game understanding and long-term athlete development, the residential camp is open to aspiring players aged 12-17. Participants can expect to be challenged at every opportunity and Tigers coaches will help young players to progress and maximise their potential. Players will be continually assessed and evaluated with feedback provided at the end of the week.

The Tigers Masterclass series returns to Welford Road and features an attacking and decision-making masterclass (May 31), breakdown and defence (June 1) and a girls-only masterclass (June 2).
