A new season kicks off at Welford Road next Sunday, when Leicester Tigers face Bath rugby in the opening round of the Aviva Premiership campaign. Match tickets are available now.
Matt O’Connor and the team return to home turf for a match against old rivals Bath with new faces including England duo George Ford and Jonny May, Tongan back-rower Sione Kalamafoni and Irish flanker Dominic Ryan.
the first league fixture of the season provides an opportunity for Ford to face his old club, while Freddie Burns is now in the other camp and could make a quick return to Welford Road after leaving Leicester in the summer.
Throw in international names like Ben Youngs, Manu Tuilagi and Matt Toomua with Leicester, and Bath’s Jonathan Joseph and Anthony Watson, and this promises to provide a top-class start to the season.
