While Leicester Tigers will be celebrating a historic double header at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday, due to the kick-off times there will be no firework display at the stadium.

There are, however, plenty of local firework displays around the city, many being hosted by grassroots rugby clubs.

Make November 5 one to remember. Get down to Mattioli Woods Welford Road to watch the Tigers men’s team face an Italian Select XV followed by the Women’s Championship North fixture between Tigers and derby rivals Loughborough Town Ladies, with kick-offs at 1.00pm and 3.15pm respectively.

You can then make the most of your evening at a local fireworks display, including these events:

Vipers RFC (LE8 6DA) – Saturday. Gates open from 5.30pm, fireworks display at 7.30pm

South Leicester RUFC (LE18 3TE) – Saturday. Gates open from 6.00pm, fireworks display at 8.00pm

Abbey Park (LE4 5AQ) – Saturday. Gates open from 4.00pm, fireworks display at 8.00pm

Leicester Racecourse (LE2 4AL) – Saturday. Gates open from 5.30pm, fireworks display at 8.10pm

Leicester Forest RUFC (LE3 3PJ) – Sunday, November 6. Gates open from 3.30pm. Fireworks displays at 7.00pm and 7.30pm
