The University of Leicester scored a double success in the Annual Varsity Rugby matches at Welford Road on Wednesday evening.
A large and vociferous crowd saw the University of Leicester win the womens match 15-0 against their De Montfort University rivals to extend their winning run to five years in the head to head, and then the men beat their De Montfort counterparts 15-9.

Presentations were made by Ryan Bartlett (UOL) and Annie Moss (DMU), with Leicester captains Lucy Mott and Ben Sedler lifting the Varsity rugby trophies.
Player-of-the-match awards went to Kaye Huggins and John Burns (Leicester), and Grace Ndambala and Adam Frost (DMU).
