Dublin Diaries - countdown is on

Figure image
The countdown is on to Leicester Tigers' Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leinster on Saturday (6pm kick-off).

Tigers supporters have been arriving in Dublin throughout the day, soaking up the sun and enjoying the atmosphere around the city ahead of the big game.

Tigers Travel Club coaches left Welford Road at 8am this morning and other fans have travelled by air and sea to be at the game.

The Tigers squad flew out from East Midlands Airport, our New Media partners, on Friday lunchtime and, after touching down in Dublin, took a visit to the Aviva Stadium, the setting for Saturday’s clash.

Last minute preparations were being made around the ground, including television crews setting up their equipment, groundstaff sweeping the seating areas and thousands of Leinster flags being laid out for the home supporters.

Outside the stadium, Leinster flags can be seen fluttering from hotels, bars, street signs and cars while many hostelries are extending warm invites to the thousands of Tigers fans who have made the trip.

Make sure you keep in touch with all of the build-up to Saturday’s game in our Dublin Diaries, which are in association with East Midlands Airport.

You can also enjoy all of the images from the weekend in our Jacobs Digital Gallery, which you can see by clicking here.

And don’t forget, you can share your experiences and enjoy the banter with fellow Tigers fans on our Official Leicester Tigers pages on Facebook and @LeicesterTigers on Twitter.
