Dan Hipkiss, winning his eighth cap, and lock Louis Deacon, who was winning his ninth, started the game and club colleagues Vesty, Ben Kay, Julian White and Jordan Crane all appeared as second-half replacements.
Vesty, the Players’ Player of the Year at Welford Road, joined the action as a 73rd-minute replacement for Tom May to gain his first senior cap and joined Hipkiss at centre.
Crane was used as a 64th-minute replacement in the back row and Julian White gained his 50th cap at the same time, though he also picked up a yellow card after clearing out scrum-half Nicolás Vergallo at a ruck. White did, however, return to the field for the closing stages and was also invited to lift the Standard Bank Cup at full-time by skipper Steve Borthwick.
World Cup winner Kay marked his return to the England squad by replacing clubmate Deacon in 76th minute.
Tries from Matt Banahan and two from Delon Armitage set England on their way, with the rest of the points coming from former Tigers fly-half Andy Goode.
Tigers prop Marcos Ayerza entered the action as a 57th-minute replacement for the Pumas, joining the front row in place of tighthead Juan Pablo Orlandi.
