Tigers produced the film with help from Tuilagi, Gonzalo Camacho and Rob Hawkins as part of the club’s 2014/15 season-ticket campaign.
The video featured a personalised welcome from Tuilagi and an invite to join the 10-time English champions at Welford Road next season. It has proved hugely popular with supporters and has been shared almost 40,000 times via email, Facebook and Twitter.
It prompted many fans to ask how the video was made and whether there was any trick photography, but it was just Manu, the lads, a whole day of filming and countless hours of editing to piece it together – as the behind the scenes video shows! It has been watched by fans across the UK, Europe and the US as well as traditional rugby-playing countries such as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
