Leicester Tigers are delighted to announce the thirty women who make up the club's first-ever Under-23 Women's Development Squad.

Having just announced the squad this week, 35 women are set to be a part of the inaugural group.

There is clear diversity in the squad, with talent having been scouted from across the Leicester Tigers region, as well as areas far afield as Bristol and Leeds in rare cases. In total, 23 different clubs or schools are represented amongst the 35 strong group.

The Tigers pathway is also well represented, with the squad including nine representatives from partner club Lichfield and five women from the University of Nottingham, with whom the club recently announced a performance partnership.

Led by Ben Duke, a member of the Leicester Tigers Community department and Skills Coach with the women’s senior squad under new Women’s Director of Rugby, Fraser Goatcher, the squad provides opportunities for ambitious rugby players in the region and a clear pathway to representing the senior team in Premiership Women’s Rugby.
