Rugby pundit Peter Richards joined Leicester Tigers Academy assistant manager Tosh Askew and coaches from across the region for an ESPN and Premiership Rugby coaching masterclass at Welford Road this week.

The grassroots coaches received expert advice from Askew, using the Tigers Academy players to demonstrate skills in attack, as well as the chance to talk rugby with Richards.

ESPN and the home club of every Aviva Premiership Rugby match broadcast live on the channel is offering an ESPN Premiership Rugby Masterclass to the local community, either to a school new to the game, or a coaching masterclass for local volunteer coaches at grassroots clubs.

Former Leicester Tigers players and ESPN analysts Austin Healey and Ben Kay, along with former England international scrum-half Richards, plus presenters Mark Durden-Smith and Nick Mullins, are taking part in the masterclass programme, helping to coach, inform and inspire new players as well as established coaches.

ESPN will broadcast live and exclusive coverage of the Tigers match away to Northampton Saints in Aviva Premiership Rugby this Saturday. Coverage is screened on ESPN Classic, kick-off is at 2.15pm.
