Ben Youngs says Leicester Tigers’ European Champions Cup clash with Munster will have the intensity of a Test match.
Tigers travel to Limerick to take on Munster on Saturday evening in the first of December’s traditional back-to-back fixtures in the Champions Cup, before welcoming the Irish province to Welford Road next weekend.
Scrum-half Youngs, who has won 73 England caps and two for the British & Irish Lions, says it has all the feelings of an international fixture.
“These are the games you want to play in,” says Youngs. “That’s why you work so hard in your domestic league to try to qualify for Europe so you get opportunities like this, to go to Thomond Park and test yourself as a side.
“We are going to have to work extremely hard to get a result. It is going to be a great game. It is going to be very similar to a Test match. It is going to have that Test-match intensity and feel to it.”
