Dates and kick-off times for the Heineken Champions Cup Round of 16 have now been confirmed, including the two-legged tie between Leicester Tigers and ASM Clermont Auvergne.

History will be made in April when the Round of 16 fixtures will be played over two legs for the first time.

Two-time winners Tigers go to three-time finalists Clermont Auvergne’s Stade Marcel-Michelin on Sunday, April 10 (4.15pm local time, 3.15pm UK) in the away leg.

Then the teams meet again at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday, April 16 in a 5.30pm kick-off in the home leg, with the winners on aggregate scores going through to a home quarter-final against Leinster or Connacht.

In the event of drawn matches or equal aggregate scores at the end of normal time during the knockout stage of the Heineken Champions Cup, extra-time will be played with the exception of the first legs of the Round of 16 matches.

The draw features clubs boasting 28 European titles between them, with Tigers among six former tournament winners.

Tickets for the cancelled European fixture against Bordeaux-Bègles – including group bookings – will be transferred to the Round of 16 home game. Car parking and matchday bus bookings will also be transferred from the Bordeaux fixture.

Tigers season ticket holders will have this game loaded on to all existing season ticket cards automatically at no cost.

Match ticket sales details for all other supporters will be confirmed soon.

Tournament organisers EPCR have today revealed kick-off and broadcast details with all Round of 16 matches live on BT Sport and additional free-to-air coverage on Channel 4 and Virgin Media in the UK and Ireland featuring the first leg tie between Sale Sharks and Bristol Bears then the second leg between Harlequins and Montpellier.
