The Leicestershire brewery's flagship Tiger ale (4.2% ABV) has previously only been available in smooth form at Welford Road, but the company decided to trial the traditional cask ale version last Saturday and will be making it available again this week.
Everards brand manager Erika Hardy said: "Leicester Tigers fans have been campaigning for cask ale to be available at the ground for some time and we are pleased that the demand is there. Therefore we will be trialing Tiger Best Bitter traditional at the Tiger Bar on matchday, with a view to rolling this out across the ground based on the response. We hope regular and new drinkers alike will enjoy this quality cask conditioned ale and that it will become a permanent offering at Tigers."
Described by Everards as a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness, the award-winning Tiger Best Bitter is brewed with a crystal malt which gives a subtle toffee flavour.
As part of Everards' 'Support Your Local' philosophy, the company works closely with Leicester Tigers, and has been a key sponsor and sole beer supplier for the past six years.
