Ex-Tiger Ellis returns for Six Nations sports bar

Former international scrum-half and European Cup winner Harry Ellis will join rugby fans at Welford Road for Tigers’ Six Nations Sports Bar showing live coverage from tournament's opening-day fixtures.

Ellis, who made more than 170 appearances for Leicester Tigers, is back at Welford Road to provide expert analysis during England’s showdown with Ireland on Saturday, February 2 (4.15pm).

Making his senior debut in 2001 against Toulouse, Ellis went on to establish himself in the Tigers set-up, scoring a try in the Heineken Cup semi-final win over Llanelli and coming on off the bench in the famous 2002 Final win over Munster.

Ellis played 27 times for England and was selected for the 2009 British & Irish Lions tour of South Africa.

George Ford, Ben Youngs, Jonny May, Manu Tuilagi, Dan Cole and Ellis Genge could all feature for Eddie Jones’s England side and Ellis will be on hand with pre-match, half-time and post-match analysis.

Doors open from 2.00pm where we’ll be showing live coverage of Scotland’s first game of the competition against Italy (2.15pm).

Tickets for the event cost just £10 and include a pie and pint, as well as the chance to win special prizes.
