Leicester Tigers have agreed a new deal with international front-rower Nephi Leatigaga.

The Samoa international prop joined Tigers in the summer of 2019 and has made 19 appearances during his debut season at the club.

Leatigaga played in New Zealand for Mount Wellington in Auckland before being selected for Samoa ‘A’ in 2015. He made his Test debut against Canada the following year.

Before joining Tigers, Leatigaga played for Rugby Lyons Piacenza in Italy and Biarritz Olympique in France.

Speaking about the renewed deal, Leicester Tigers Director of Rugby Geordan Murphy said: “Nephi has had an impressive start to his Tigers career and improved with each performance during the current campaign.

“He has an opportunity now to go on with it and continue to progress here in a Tigers shirt, under the guidance of Boris Stankovich and alongside some experienced, international front-rowers.

“Nephi’s size and versatility are both valuable traits in the game and we’re proud to have him here, as part of the club.

“The challenge to Nephi now is to make the next step in his career and improve on his debut year at Tigers.”
