100 lucky supporters were a part of the 6,400 fans who returned to Mattioli Woods Welford Road for the first fixture in front of supporters since March 2020 earlier this month. 

Tigers welcomed Bristol Bears in the landmark match which saw supporters watch Tigers in action live for the first time since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Club partner Mattioli Woods rewarded supporters with 50 pairs of tickets in a campaign launched in December 2020 and the winning fans were finally able to redeem their tickets. 

Megan Locke, one of the lucky winners, said: “We had a great day, it was just perfect, well organised and we felt safe in the grounds. 

“Gutted that the Tigers lost however the atmosphere in the stands was electric! Thank you so much to Mattioli Woods! Can’t wait till the next game!”
