Fans meet heroes at Open Training Session

Leicester Tigers supporters young and old enjoyed a morning to remember watching the first team train at Welford Road before getting the chance to meet the stars.

More than a thousand fans made the journey ahead of Tigers Sunday showdown with Wasps (March 25, 3.00pm) joining the team for an open training session.

Before the action got underway, Tigers coach Geordan Murphy warmed up the crowd pitch side with a Q&A before the lads made their final preparations ahead of tomorrow’s Aviva Premiership clash.

Once the training session was finished, Tigers players headed over to pose for photos and sign shirts, rugby balls, flags and posters for fans. Head coach Matt O’Connor also joined the meet-and-greet chatting to fans and signing merchandise.

The Junior Tigers Club was also open for youngsters to take part in an Easter egg hunt, activities and meet club mascot Welford.

Groups also enjoyed a tour of Welford Road stadium; visiting behind-the-scenes in the changing rooms and hospitality areas.

Fans tweeted some of their favourite photos from the morning:

A huge thanks to all from the club who made the trip to Welford Road and fans will be able view photos from the day across social media in our gallery.
