Fans of Wasps and Leicester Tigers have been urged to arrive early for Saturday's Aviva Premiership Round 21 showdown at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday. An Aviva Premiership home ground attendance record will be set after Wasps confirmed last week that all 32,600 tickets have been sold for the game which kicks-off at 3.15pm.
The fans village in the Jaguar Hall is open at noon and turnstiles open at 1pm.
The Away Supporters coaches will be met by Welford the mascot in Car park C at 1.15pm, and Tigers will also have a base in the fanzone with giveaways and activities.
On-site car-parking has sold out but off-site parking can be booked at www.ricoharena.com
A free courtesy bus service will be operating from Coventry train station to the Ricoh Arena from 11am until kick-off and then from the final whistle until 7pm.
Andy Gibb, managing director at the Ricoh Arena, said: “I think everyone agrees this is a long-awaited match between local rivals,” he said.
“As this is a complete sell-out we want to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible so I would appeal to everyone to get here early.”
The Ricoh Arena’s previous record crowd of 31,407 was set during Coventry City’s FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea in 2009 while Saturday’s match will also break the Aviva Premiership home ground attendance record of 28,254 set at Wasps’ inaugural game in Coventry against London Irish last December.
