Final Masterclass camp coaches confirmed

Leicester Tigers former captain and coach Ian ‘Dosser’ Smith and Scotland women’s rugby international wing Rhona Lloyd will be heading up this year’s Forward Play and Scrum and Girls Masterclass sessions.

Each season, the club hosts a number of dedicated rugby camps at its Welford Road home giving young players between the ages of U11 to U15 boys' age groups and U11 up to U18 girls' groups.

Dosser played 331 first-team games for Tigers, before coaching the team following his retirement and has been involved the development pathway for players since 1998.

The father of current Tiger Matt Smith – who will hang up his boots on a fourteen year career at the club when Tigers play Bath in their final Gallagher Premiership fixture of 2018/19 – Dosser has been a regular coach at Masterclass Camps over the years, last year heading up the Girls Masterclass session.

Tigers are excited to welcome Loughborough Lightning’s Rhona Lloyd as the lead coach for this year’s Girls Masterclass session.

Rhona worked her way through the age grades, captaining Murrayfield Wanderers U18 to victory in the Brewin Dolphin Cup, playing sevens for Scotland Women U19 and on to Scotland Women U20 in season 2013/14.

She made her full international debut against England in the 2016 Six Nations opener at Broadwood Stadium.
