As announced in the club’s weekly The Business e-newsletter, Leicester Tigers will welcome world champion wheelchair racer Sammi Kinghorn and British army veteran and activist Simon Weston CBE to next year’s final two Business Club events.
In association with club partner Mattioli Woods, places are now available to here from our upcoming guest speakers at an exclusive lunch at Welford Road.
World Champion wheelchair racer Sammi Kinghorn will be attending the next Business Club event on February 5, 2020.
Sammi took up wheelchair racing in 2011, following an accident when she was 14 years old, and has gone on to become Double World Champion at the London 2017 World Championships and is currently a World Record Holder over 200m amongst other accolades.
British army veteran and activist Simon Weston CBE will be the final Business Club speaker of this season (May 6, 2020).
After suffering life-changing burns during his time in the Falklands, Simon’s courage and charity work have been recognised and honoured on a number of occasions including an OBE and CBE.
The twosome cap off a speaker list which over the past few season’s has welcomed the likes of Novelist and former politician Sir Jeffrey Archer, TV’s SAS: Who Dares Wins Ant Middleton and most recently, sports broadcaster Clare Balding.
Clare entertained more than 150 peoples who enjoyed a lunch and afternoon in the 1880 suite of the Holland & Barrett Stand.
