Following last season's historic Double, this is the dawn of a new era at Welford Road with the announcement of a new head coach and some exciting new signings in the close-season.
Richard Cockerill is in charge of the first team until Marcelo Loffreda's arrival after the Rugby World Cup, and one of his first duties is to supervise pre-season training, with the players returning from their summer break.
All Blacks centre Aaron Mauger will not arrive until the autumn, but pre-season will allow other new signings to settle into their surroundings, in preparation for the Guinness Premiership kick-off away to Bristol on the weekend of September 15.
The Heineken Cup pool-stage draw will be added to the fixture list this week and it is an exciting time of year for supporters as the 2007/08 campaign begins to take shape.
If you have not yet renewed your season ticket, then do not delay. The deadline for renewals has been extended to Friday, June 22. New season ticket applications are also being collected by the Tigers ticket office and they will be dealt with in date order once the renewal deadline has passed.
