Former Tiger Hamilton to lead Masterclass camp

Each season, Welford Road opens its doors for the popular Masterclass rugby camp sessions for youngsters to learn from Tigers players past and present.

Former Leicester Tigers wing Scott Hamilton is the first name to be announced leading the Attack and Continuity session on June 2.

The New Zealand star was a regular on the wing or at full back for Tigers between 2008 and 2014 making 142 appearances. The club’s player of the year for 2009/10, Hamilton scored 31 tries during his time at Welford Road and will be sharing the secrets to success.

Tigers Masterclass series offer one-day coaching workshops for U11 to U16 age groups. Focusing on specific skills, youngsters will get the chance to train on the famous pitch.

Places cost £69 per person and include a lunch, Tigers goodies and a free ticket to an allocated Tigers home match. 

Other Masterclass camps include: 

  • Tuesday May 29 - Attack & Decision Making
  • Wednesday May 30 - Breakdown & Defence
  • Thursday May 31 - Forward Play & Scrum
  • Friday June 1 - Girls Only Masterclass (U11's to U18's)
