Foundation Crown helps to fund Tigers monument

Fans can support the Leicester Tigers Foundation monument project which hopes to raise the funds for a statue at Welford Road to commemorate those who have given their lives in armed conflict.

The club has a proud heritage built on its links with the Leicestershire ‘Tigers’ Regiment and the invitational Barbarians teams who brought many of the biggest names in the game to play a Christmas fixture at Welford Road over the decades.

The names of the 46 Leicester Tigers and 100 Barbarians who lost their lives during the two world wars will be recognised on the monument which will be built outside the main entrance at the Welford Road.

Supporters can make a donation to receive a limited-edition Foundation Crown coin displaying the crest of the Leicestershire Regiment and Leicester Tigers. They will also have their name engraved at the base of the monument as recognition of their support.

Foundation Crowns can be obtained for a donation of £110 and include an invitation to the planned unveiling in November 2018.

A big thank-you to all our supporters who have made a donation so far, and if you’d like to receive your Foundation Crown please visit the link below. To get involved with our heritage project or volunteer your support, please contact [email protected]
