Gareth Owen faces surgery and a spell on the sidelines after suffering a shoulder injury in the win at Saracens last Sunday.
Welsh centre Owen was injured in the opening minutes of the game at Allianz Park in his 10th appearance since his summer arrival from the Scarlets.
He received lengthy treatment from the Tigers medical team before being led off the pitch holding his arm.
In his media briefing on Tuesday, head coach Matt O’Connor said: “He is seeing the specialist today. He dislocated his shoulder at Saracens. The medics got it back in, but he will have surgery next week and is probably out for the rest of the season. It is obviously incredibly disappointing for him.”
