Leicester Tigers have joined forces with The Prince's Trust on a new scheme to help young people who are unemployed and not in education to Get Started With Sport.Get Started With Sport is a free five-day development programme running at Welford Road Stadium for young people aged 16-25.
This programme will help you:
Gain coaching and leadership skills from a professional sports club
Find out about basic emergency first aid and have access to an onsite gym
Enjoy a fun and rewarding week improving your teamwork, communication skills and confidence
Gain certificates and references upon completion
Achieve a Level 1 qualification in Health & Nutrition
Get Started With Sport also provides support with travel costs and lunch is provided every day. All participants will also receive three months of support after the programme to help your progress.
Tigers are hosting a taster session on Thursday, March 12 for anyone interested, with the full programme running on the week of March 16-20.
