Richard Cockerill's squad, who launch their pre-season programme with a trip to Cornish Pirates this weekend, will use the Montauban game to put the finishing touches to their preparations with the opening Guinness Premiership away to Bristol Rugby just eight days later.
The Montauban match will allow supporters to welcome their French visitors as well as see some of Tigers new signings - men like Ayoola Erinle, Benjamin Kayser, Owen Finegan and Richard Blaze - before the Guinness Premiership kicks off the following weekend.
Tickets for the Montauban game go on sale to Tigers season ticket holders and members from August 6, and to non-members from August 13, with prices starting at £10 for adult standing and £12 for seating. The deadline for season ticket holders to purchase their usual seat before being released to general sale is Friday, August 24.
The Montauban squad included internationals from France, Argentina, Romania, Uruguay and Georgia last term when they finished in seventh place in France's Top 14. During the summer, they have added more signings to their squad, including Argentina international Miguel Avramovic from Worcester Warriors.
Tigers acting head coach Richard Cockerill said: "We are expecting a competitive game against a quality French side.
"Montauban are recognised as a pretty impressive outfit and they had a good season in the Top 14. They have been adding to their squad in the summer and will provide an excellent test for us.
"Our pre-season programme is all about building up to the start of the competitive action and we feel that Montauban will provide ideal opponents in the final week before the Guinness Premiership programme begins."
