Leicester Tigers’ global partner clubs in Dendermonde and Kuala Lumpur ended 2017 in style with table-topping teams and award wins.
The senior men’s side have continued their great run of form and remain at the top of the Belgian Elite League Division One.
Wins over Boitsfort RC and RFC Liégeois secured top spot heading into the new year.
The women’s side, Dendermonde Gazelles, lead the top division by 12 points and are still yet to drop points.
After edging past third-placed Boitsfort, an 89-0 thumping of Gent showed the team’s intent.
The club’s youth team have turned their attention turned to a series of age-group tournaments. The under-8s, 10s and 12s have hosted teams from around the region to round off their year in #TigersFamily style.
The KL Tigers have enjoyed success in the Asian Rugby Awards 2017.
The Tigers were nominated for the Junior Try Award and Women’s Touring Team award before picking up the Junior Tournament Award and the Volunteers award.
A special congratulations goes to Keeley Cane who won the Volunteers Judges’ Award for her help and support at KL Tigers. Well done Keeley!
The new year welcomes a number of tournaments and tours for the KL Tigers age-group squads as well as the annual Tigers Rugby Camp in Kuala Lumpur which is this year scheduled for the week of February 15-18.
