Leicester Tigers hosted their annual Golf Day over the weekend, sponsored by club partner Mattioli Woods.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, the day still went ahead and provided attendees with plenty of networking opportunities, fierce golfing competition between those in attendance and special prize giveaways throughout.
This included a raffle, all proceeds of which went towards the work done by the Leicester Tigers Foundation. Through the generosity of the attendees, £550 was raised to go toward the ongoing delivery of the Foundation's Education Programmes.
As well as the raffle and the action on the green, two additional sporting competitions were held on the day, which included the 'Longest Drive' and 'Nearest the Pin'.
The winners of these events (and their prizes) were:
- Individual Winner – Lee Jones (Signed Shirt)
- Team Winner – Mattioli Woods (Four places at Coporate Hospitality & a box of beers)
- Nearest the Pin Winner – Phil Buckley (Four ball voucher from golf club)
- Longest Drive Winner – Brad Mills (Signed Ball)
- Raffle Winner of Signed Shirt – Ian Addlesse
- Winners of Mattioli gift bags – Nick Marlow
The event also saw special appearances from Leicester Tigers stars Hanro Leibenberg, Charlie Clare and Tom Whiteley, who dined with the competitors and presented the competition winners their prizes, as well as a Mattioli Woods goody bag.
A special thanks must go toward club partner Mattioli Woods for sponsoring the event, without those support it could not have gone ahead.
The club would also like to send a special mention to Molson Coors for supplying refreshments and thank you to Dyno Rod and Hormann LTD for sponsoring two of the course holes.
