Green day at Twickenham

Figure image
Leicester Tigers will be wearing their traditional home kit of green, white and red for Saturday's Aviva Premiership Final.

Tigers take on Saracens at Twickenham in a 3pm kick-off and thousands of Tigers fans will be there to cheer on their team.

Supporters are being encouraged to dig out their flags and scarves to make it green, white and red day at Twickenham.

The final day will begin at around 9am for the 1,000 supporters setting off from Welford Road on 20 Tigers Travel Club coaches. The Tigers club shop will open at 8am for last-minute purchases.

The coaches are now fully booked and supporters are advised that there will be no parking at Welford Road. We have arranged parking at the Walkers Stadium at a cost of £5 per car.

Cheer on Tigers in style with our limited edition range of Aviva Premiership Final T-Shirts, which are available now from the club shop in green, grey and white. Add some colour to the occasion with Tigers hats, flags and tops.

Please note, to receive your items on Friday, in time for the final, orders must be placed by 2.30pm on Thursday.

If you are going to the game, make sure you visit the Tigers roadshow, which will be situated in the Land Rover terrapod opposite the RFU shop in the South Stand at Twickenham. Join in the fun with facepainters and balloon modellers, and competitions and games or pick up some last-minute merchandise from the Tigers mobile shop. Season ticket holders will be able to renew at the roadshow and we will welcome new applications.

Walk4Matt 2011, the 110 mile trek along the Grand Union Canal from Rugby to the Aviva Premiership Final, will reach its destination before kick-off. Matt Williams and Adam Copperwheat, of the Tigers community team, have been canoeing this year’s Walk4Matt and the final leg will see walkers set off from Brentford Locks from 9am on Saturday morning before meeting at the Barmy Arms pub in Twickenham between 11am and midday. Tigers supporters are being invited to join the final push. More information on Walk4Matt is available here

Tigers will be joined at Twickenham by children from Leicester’s St John the Baptist School, who have taken part in our MBNA Tackling Numbers programme this season and will be playing tag rugby on the pitch before kick-off.

Pupils from St Andrew’s Primary School in Swaffham, Norfolk will form the guard of honour while young players from Old Dalby Primary School near Melton Mowbray will play on the pitch during half-time. Both schools have been involved in Tigers’ Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme, an initiative that will introduce over 36,000 young people to the sport through tag rugby.

And Silhillians Under-11s and Hinckley Under-12s, the winners of Tigers’ Land Rover Premiership Cup, will take part in a Parade of Champions round the pitch at half-time.

Tickets for the game are still on sale and will available until 5pm on Friday from the Tigers ticket office. Click here to secure your seat, phone 0844 856 1880 or visit the Tigers ticket office at Welford Road.

Next day delivery will be available at a cost of £5 for purchases made before 3pm on Thursday. Tickets purchased after 3pm on Thursday will have to be collected from the Tigers ticket office until 5pm Friday or from the ticket office at Twickenham from 1pm on Saturday.

If you are unable to make the trip to Twickenham, the game is being broadcast on ESPN and Tigers will have all of the action in the Final Whistle at Welford Road. The Final Whistle is open from 2pm and the bar is open for snacks and refreshments. Entry is free.
