Tigers lock Gregor Gillanders will have to wait for another chance to push his claims with England U-19s after Friday night's match against Wales was postponed.
England's penultimate warm-up game for the IRB World Championship was washed out at Aberavon after prolonged heavy rain left large pools of standing water on the Talbot Athletic Ground's playing surface. Despite surviving one inspection, the game was called off just five minutes before the scheduled kick-off.
Gillanders, who made his England U-19 debut earlier this season, had been named on the bench but now must wait until March 24 and the scheduled match against France at Henley. England then head to Belfast for World Championship group games against Argentina, Samoa and New Zealand.
