Guinness brings live commentary to Tigers

The brewers of Guinness are bringing Guinness Premiership rugby to life for fans with live Sky Sports commentary as Leicester Tigers take on Bath Rugby on Sunday (4pm).

At selected Guinness Premiership matches this season, fans have been able to listen to the Sky Sports commentary team as they bring the on-pitch action to life for the fans in the stand.

Guinness have distributed more than 30,000 free radios across the season broadcasting live Sky Sports commentary from kick-off to the final whistle. Sky Sports’ legendary voices of rugby, including the likes of Stuart Barnes and Miles Harrison, will be giving their expert opinion and taking fans through the highs and lows, rucks and mauls, scrums and line-outs as the game unfolds on the pitch.

On top of that, live footage of the game will be shown on big screens so fans can watch and listen to all the analysis from their seats.

Following the success of last season’s Guinness Premiership Festivals, the interactive games are back, with the Guinness Power Pass and Rugby Reflex adding to the pre-game excitement for fans.

At the beginning of the season Guinness measured the speed of the 12 club captains’ passes on the Guinness Power Pass and Tigers’ Geordan Murphy registered 32.8mph, putting him in fifth place in the Captains’ table.

To test yourself against the best, head to the Guinness games for your chance to win a Guinness goodie bag.

Lee Bailey, senior sponsorship manager Guinness GB, said: “I am delighted Guinness will be able to improve the fans’ overall experience at the rugby with this innovative initiative with Sky Sports.

“This is in addition to our Guinness Power Pass and Rugby Reflex activities at which fans can get involved themselves and test their skills against the Guinness Premiership players.”
