Matt Hampson tweeted his thanks to a sell-out Welford Road as The Matt Hampson Foundation held their annual takeover day this weekend.
Volunteers held bucket collections around the ground for Tigers Aviva Premiership fixture against Northampton Saints.
Tigers players caught up with Matt as he visited them in the changing rooms before kick-off and players and coaching staff showed their support wearing Team Hambo t-shirts during their warm-up.
Matt and the Foundation team were also acknowledged during the pre-match build up and introduced to the 25,849 strong crowd just ahead of kick-off.
The Matt Hampson Foundation works to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability through sport and any form of activity.
