While fans have been unable to attend matches, Leicester Tigers club partners STIHL have decided to take a part of matchday direct to the supporters.

One of the greatest parts of matchday at Welford Road is how close supporters can get to the action and, while the last five home games have been played behind closed doors, STIHL have kept a close eye on the action and surprised a supporter after each game by sending them a STIHL branded ball as a prize if a matchball dropped into the seat they usually occupy at the home of the Tigers.

The delivery has been accompanied by a letter from Tigers director of rugby Geordan Murphy. 

Alice Squire, who was among the recipients, shared a photo on social media of her primary school class using the STIHL ball in their PE lessons.

We look forward to seeing supporters in their regular seats at Welford Road as soon as it is safe to welcome them back.
