Hat-trick for young Tiger

Leicester Tigers Academy wing Reuben Norville claimed a hat-trick of tries for the touring Scotland Under-19 Development side as they opened their two-Test trip with a five-try win over their Romanian counterparts at the Arcul de Triumf, Bucharest.

After a slow start, the young Scots found their feet and kicked into gear going on to win the game 31-3.

The 18-year-old former Reading Abbey wing Norville was joined among the try-scorers by fellow wing Robbie Nairn and centre George Taylor.

Norville’s tries came through a combination of individual awareness and pace, the first a blistering dash down the touchline; the second a fine, first-phase attack from the training ground, which saw him run a line off lineout ball to race under the posts; and third secured thanks to a cross-field kick from fly-half Ruairi Howarth.

The Scotland team now prepare to face Romania Under-20s at the same venue on Sunday.
