The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has seen the club overcome many challenges, one of which saw them turn to the expertise of Leicester-based independent production company Created by TEN.
With the restrictions of a global pandemic new to most at Leicester Tigers, the club had to devise new ways of bringing content, updates and announcements to its supporters and partners.
One such journey, welcomed the introduction of the HEAD TO HEAD series, an opportunity for supporters to see the Tigers stars in a different environment away from the rugby pitch.
Partners challenged squads of four to take on a series of challenges from food tasting to memory games. You can watch five of the eight-part online series by clicking here.
The project with Created by TEN was very different to our first collaboration back in 2019 – and under a new set of unforeseen circumstances.
Regular testing, social distancing, limited access and the elements were all pivotal considerations alongside bringing the partner challenges to life through video, photography and social media.
Founded back in 2015 by friends Andy Gundelach and Alex Buja, the team is aiming towards supporting Leicester and Leicestershire’s filmmakers and talent to support and collaborate, under the collective Film Leicester.
“We love shooting with Tigers, they are quite simply one sport’s biggest names, and to have access to players, the training facilities and staff in-house makes each project fun to be on-set for”, Andy explained. "You have to be flexible and adaptable with the ongoing changes as well as keeping up the energy around players.
“We have some exciting collaborations in the pipeline with the club and they can play a key role in helping to drive the Film Leicester initiative.
“The county is a region of real beauty, with talented individuals and creatives bringing ideas to life. Which is why we want to showcase Leicester and Leicestershire as a destination for film-makers, investors and the creative industry to take notice of.
“The pandemic, like many industries, hit equally as hard and with the UK on the brink of normality, we’re excited to be a part of the Leicester Tigers journey and playing a part in bringing their content alive.”
The team have demonstrated once again why they are reliable and dependable team without compromising on quality. Working closely with them, they helped develop the challenge series during unprecedented times proving more than capable of pushing themselves.
