Dan Hipkiss says Leicester Tigers will travel with the confidence of a five-match winning run when they go into Saturday's Heineken Cup decider against Ospreys.
Hipkiss scored two tries as Tigers claimed a bonus point win over Viadana at Welford Road last weekend.
The win followed victories over Clermont Auvergne in the Heineken Cup and Sale Sharks, London Wasps and then league leaders Saracens in the Guinness Premiership.
The run has taken Tigers to the top of the Guinness Premiership and a point above Clermont and Ospreys in Heineken Cup Pool 3 going into Round 6.
“That is five wins in a row for us and that is a good position to be in,” said Tigers centre Hipkiss. “That win against Saracens really did something for us, as did the bonus point against Wasps.
“We didn’t play as well as we could have against Viadana but that’s really going to kick us into action in training.”
He added: “We have done well as a side going away to places in the past but we know the challenge. Across the board, they are as good a unit as there is out there.”
