Holmes handed Six Nations start in Rome

Jonah Holmes will make his Six Nations debut with Wales this weekend after being named in the starting team to face Italy in Rome.

After making his first Test appearance against Tonga in the autumn at full-back, Holmes lines up on the wing this weekend for his second cap. Liam Williams and Josh Adams, who both started the win over France in Paris last week, complete the back three in a team captained by Jonathan Davies.

"We have made a number of changes this weekend but have picked what we think is a very exciting team that still has huge experience throughout it," said Wales head coach Warren Gatland.

"We have made a similar number of changes to what we did last year, but it is all about opportunity for these players.

"We have had a squad of 31 training together, replicating the Rugby World Cup, and it is important they get game-time.
