Howard hints at Sunday's side

Tigers head coach Pat Howard has given some indication of the side he will select for the trip to Cardiff this Sunday. Leicester face the Blues at the Millennium Stadium in a Heineken Cup clash of massive importance to the club.

"It'll be very close to the side that played the other day against Munster," says Howard. "There's some injury concerns over Leo Cullen, which may mean that Jim Hamilton will come straight into the side. There's also a doubt as to whether Geordie will be fit again. We've got some selection decisions at nine and ten, and one or two of the other guys who came on last Sunday are also in contention."

In relation to Cullen's situation, Howard spoke openly about the club's depth in the second row.

"It was touch and go as to whether Leo would make it last weekend. We gave Leo a lot of time to get ready for Munster and fair play to him, he played with a heavily bruised leg and he played well for us. We've got four second rows who are very, very close. They've all got their pluses and minuses and they're all performing very well. We'd like one or tow of them to stand up and say, 'This is definitely my position', but at the same stage it's very competitive."
