An extended squad of 32 players reported for training with the Ireland Women's team at the weekend in the build-up to Sunday’s TikTok Women's Six Nations clash against England at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

The group trained in Dublin, with head coach Greg McWilliams adding seven players to his panel for the remainder of the 2022 Championship.

Laura Feely, Laura Sheehan, Mary Healy, Shannon Touhy, Sene Naoupu and the uncapped Niamh Byrne and Alice O'Dowd have been called up for the final two rounds.

Sam Monaghan and Aoife Wafer are unavailable through injury, while a group of players have re-integrated back into the Ireland Sevens programme ahead of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series at the end of the month.

The rest of the Six Nations are based at the IRFU High Performance Centre before travelling to Leicester on Thursday.

Coach McWilliams said: "There are a number of players who have had to be patient during the first three rounds of the Six Nations and they now have an opportunity to stake a claim for the green jersey.

“We have a good group of players in camp with us, a nice mixture of experience and players who have impressed me during the Energia All-Ireland League season, and coming off the back of our win over Italy, are determined to finish the Championship with strong performances."

McWilliams will name his matchday 23 to face England on Friday lunchtime. Kick-off is at noon on Sunday.

Tickets for Sunday’s game are available now at the Tigers ticket office. Book online or phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2).

Hospitality places can be booked by phoning the sales team on 0116 217 1215.
